philh,
There is a growing amount of media hype around Archer and it is easy to forget his young age and relative inexperience. One hopes he'll fair well in International cricket, but with Jordan in such fine form, his steady presence alongside Jofra could greatly benefit his England career and I am sure the selectors are aware of this.
So, yes, no Archer, no Jordan for much of this season, which only makes Sussex's chances of promotion even more difficult.

Totally agree. It is obvious to Sussex supporters, for England to get the best out of Archer, they need to play Jordan along side him for his first few games in each format. After all Jordan would improve the fielding 150%. Whether the selectors understand is another matter, for Archer’s and England’s sakes I hope they do.

I would pick Jordan over Archer for white ball cricket, I believe Archer is more suited to the longer formats. I wouldn’t select Archer for the WC but I’d certainly have him in my Test side for the Ashes.

This is all very well for England, but what about Sussex? Our threadbare squad could not cover the absence of both, Jordan and Archer
