I'm on here to express my thoughts as i assume you are. You made a flippant remark about Keith Greenfield and i expressed a tohught i had on that. My opinion is that Keith does a cracking job across all levels of Sussex Cricket, you disagree and thats fine but when i see critique i am entitled to express my thought on that. The level of engagement between posters on this board I'd say has increased since i became a regular contributer but luckily I'm not a stats man. All I will say is that you've earlier admitted to a bias in favour of a fellow 'scoomer'. That's all. I said we stick together :-) not a bias to his job he does. I admire hard work and dedication and from what I see albeit from afar i see a man that lives eats and breathes Sussex Cricket and a role model to a lot of people form that Old Council Estate that you can reach the pinnacle of your profession if you work hard enough. Maybe start an I Dont agree With AndyB thread and we can move several to there?

Watching his career? You can smell his sandwiches. Who's bright idea is 'multi year' contact? That's not yours is it Gordon?

id be staggered if this happened.
I think he is under contract to the end of 2024 at least so in theory he would have been 'tapped' up unless a transfer fee is agreed.
Mind blowing rumour.

Having a year left on your contract isn’t going to stop you if you really want to go, Ben Brown did the same thing.
I’m fairly confident in the person who told me as he’s friendly with a couple of the Hants players.

Negotiating your way out of your contract is different, thats what Brown did as did Garton. If Hampshire have approached him its tapping up.
I heard a Haines to Hants rumour recently and that was more worrying.
Farbrace back from Holidays tomorrow i guess it wont be long until we find out, a sign of the modern times that we simply cannot compete financially with these big Test Match ground counties anymore.
Kick in the balls if true and he wouldnt be popular with the fans if he does go.

This is what I feared would happen, losing all our good home grown players because they want to be part of a winning side. If you’ve got any ambition you’re going to go where that ambition can be fulfilled not stay at a club where it’s going to take another few years to rebuild.

This has been happening to counties like Leicester, Worcester, Northants etc for years. I guess we managed to hold off for a few years. All this sort of stuff happening without a CEO too it could be a tough winter.

It’s what most of us fans said at the time. Chucking in a load of youngsters when they aren’t ready so you lose virtually every game, and then in a few years if they turn out to be any good they will leave because they want to win stuff. Brilliant plan 🙈

We did manage to hold off before squeaky and grubby came up with their master plan But we'd be in financial ruin, we can go back and forth on this again and again and again. I believe they preserved the long term future of the county you think they ruined it lets move on as its tedious and boring. We will never agree on it. Grubby left his post a year a go and Rob has gone so its time to move on from what has gone wrong or right in the past whatever you believe and thats fine but we need to give our full support to the incoming CEO and Paul Farbrace. If Orr goes obviously its a hammer blow but it also presents opportunity.
