I don't think we can afford to give them another 12 months. We might not have a club by then, and certainly not many members. Prior says that has no agenda and that he certainly isn't looking for a job, and I believe him. I think he is simply despairing of what is going on with the running of the club, and we can all of us - with perhaps the exception of Andyb - see that things aren't going well. As for Joe's reference to "bullying" by Prior when he was in the England team, I've never seen a single England player ever criticise him, with the obvious exception of KP. Au contraire, he is highly spoken of and thought of by his former England team mates, as far as I can see. Where are his so called ‘mates’ when he’s tweeting? Nothing from any of them, conspicuous by their absence. I know for a fact that he’s not thought highly of by the older Sussex players. I’ve met him a few times and he comes across as a cocky know-it-all. He didn’t get the nickname Le Grand Fromage for nothing! We are all despairing of what’s happening at the club and his comments do hold more weight with him being an ex player but there are ways of going about things and I don’t think his is the right way.

You'd give them another 5 years!! Wow! No-one could accuse you of impartiality, andyb. You ask me i answer and theres always a sly dig. Ok if theres no progress this year tell me im wrong. That wasn’t intended as a sly dig. It was a very open gasp of incredulity.

If Matt Prior was involved in any setup, he’d attract better players than Meaker, Claydon et al. You would also hear the truths, both good and bad.
Unlike the Andrew/Greenfield regime.
In Prior we trust!!

Are you happy with the current set up? Would you be happy to have Matt Prior on the board? Not particularly. He may well be right in his assessment of the club’s troubles, but that doesn’t mean he’s a fit person to manage the club out of those troubles.

😂😂😂😂oh dear, personal insults - never a good sign when resorted to…but as you’re only on the wind-up we’ll engage in the humour. I wasn't referring to what you said about Prior’s businesses - I’d heard that too - but just your overall stance, stirring it up by going against the grain. Something you’re well known for I believe….

But what is the right way though? Nothing wrong with speaking out about what you feel is going wrong at a club he obviously cares massively about, no different to what Pigott and Marlar did in 1997 in fact. And the current Sussex players to whom he is referring are not going to back him up on social media are they, as Sussex are their employers!

Where Sussex let themselves down, at the moment, is in their comms. Where is Halsall? When is the new batting coach arriving? Hope these questions can be asked to Kirtley and Salisbury later this month. And that stable set-up needs to include experienced players for the younger players to play alongside, not a team with 9 youngsters in and no explanation of why all our players keep leaving.

However, if what he's saying is true, then whether he thinks he's part of the solution or not is irrelevant. The truth should be outed.

If Prior is wrong, as you assert, then you don't have to worry about him getting involved in the management.

It's just my opinion that i think he has an agenda, i dont know this for certain but being back in the public eye by being vocal on social media can often lead to career opportunities in the sport and i think thats what he wants. Part of me hopes i am wrong about him as i always admired him as a cricketer. I want to reiterate that my backing for the current board isnt me deliberately going against the grain for a wind up, its a genuine trust in the process Ian Salisbury asked us to go with at the start of the summer.
