I would make two changes with Anderson and Broad for Leach and Wood. I agree. There's no way we can strengthen our feeble batting, is there?

That was abysmal. Very disappointing. Some of you show far too much patience. Crawley & Jonny for, well take your pick. Broad should have played in this one, but Anderson & Broad will surely come in.
Muddled thinking, muddled batting, muddled management.

Leave out the only properly fast bowler in the squad? The next match is pink ball. Doesn't that favour swing bowlers? Anderson and Broad have over 1,000 test wickets. Wood is injury prone and could break down at any moment because he is more fragile than glass! Leaving out your two best bowlers was a really dumb idea. Robinson, Woakes, Anderson and Broad have to play at Adelaide.

Aren't we sposed to win this one. When are we not 20-2? Never is the answer.
Seems lightening stopped play. That's nearly as bad as Wright stopping play cos of the sun a few years ago. Oh, aren't we dainty in this liberal world. Oh my, I think I might faint.

Burns, Hameed, Pope and Buttler need to be dropped.

Burns, Hameed, Pope and Buttler need to be dropped. I agree they're all suspect. Who would you replace them with?

I'm not sure you can just call for players to be dropped, without suggesting replacements that would strengthen the team.
No-one on this board has made any suggestions yet, and I'm not about to either - except I've always thought that Ben Foakes is a class keeper and I recall has a good overseas test record. I don't know what sort of form he's been in recently, though.
Here's a question: If the current side is (more or less) the best test team we can field, then there is a serious problem with our domestic red ball cricket, surely? The next question is: Why do the Aussies produce better red ball cricketers? Do they play a lot of red ball domestic cricket? What are they doing that we're not doing?

Bring the players home now they are a disgrace to themselves and this country. I don't think this is the best team Flashblade. Domestically Australia play 10 matches but most of their test players play very little state cricket at all. Our batsmen are just rubbish.

They don't. Always. Right now maybe. One day cricket has engulfed our game, domestically and internationally, in short. Lees and Yates are the Lions openers, whoever they are. Foakes just scored 70 odd for the Lions and Buttler has been so bad behind the stumps it's unquestionable that Foakes would be an improvement there. Burns and Hameed are in by default, as is Malan. We have no spinners, two old men opening the bowling and a keeper who couldn't catch a cold. We're in bits. Silverwood must go. Root is a great player but a poor captain.
Best one-day sides though.
We're gonna lose 5-0. I would oversee a massive overhaul right now, big names in now and all out attack. Nothing to lose.
Roy Crawley Malan Root Stokes Livingstone Bairstow Ali Robinson Broad Wood
