As suspected, more getting dragged in - Hoggard, Bresnan, Hales, Root again. I knew what he said wouldn't wash. What about Jonny? The more I read about this the more I think Rafiq was one of the few Asian players who tried to fit in, did fit in, got treated like he fit in and is now ashamed of fitting in cos it wasn't him, or at least he doesn't think it was him now. He was one of the boys and he got treated that way. Then it went tits-up and he got treated another way. Not a good way probably but does it warrant this s**t storm - I don't think so. I bet we’ve probably all been there in our younger days. Tried to fit into a group who we perceive to be the ‘cool’ gang. Ignored our own morals and boundaries to feel that acceptance. It’s not until you mature and see the world for what it is that you regret your actions and question the actions of others. If your dream is to play cricket at the highest level and you see that to get there you have to compromise your moral compass you probably would initially try to do that. After a while real life gets in the way and you realise that you are betraying all those who love you and have your best interests at heart ie your family and true friends. You also realise that by accepting this behaviour in others it has had a damaging effect on you. You then have a choice. Leave a toxic environment and draw a line under it or leave and call it out so that other won’t go through the same thing as you. The second option is the bravest one to take and the one that Rafiq has chosen. I stand 100% behind him.

Option 2 left the room, about 10 years ago. And it was a poor option anyway. He was complicit in this, you can't go back on the crack. He's gonna do way more harm than good to all people from everywhere. I'd lower your percentage if I were you, presuming you know nobody involved.

This could only be said from a white privileged perspective and why racism is endemic across the world. We can not even start to understand how his life has been affected by the racial abuse he’s been subjected to. The only thing we can do is accept that it happened and be part of the solution going forward. Except Ballance and his parents were ethnically cleansed from the farm they owned and worked by blacks on racial grounds under the orders of President Mugabe.

I have no idea whether that is true (as regards Ballance & his family), but though I had no time at all for the monster Mugabe, it's worth asking who stole the land from its original users in the first place. As Jomo Kenyatta once said (a quote often attributed to Desmond Tutu): When the European missionaries came to Africa we had the land and they had the Bible; then "they taught us to pray with our eyes closed. When we opened our eyes, they had the land and we had the Bible,"

I think the thing i'm having a hard time with is things like the Alex Hales accusation, he has come out and denied this claim. If Hales is innocent is it fair to label him a Racist and add him to Crickets 'Hall of Shame'
What Rafiq has been through is horrific but you cannot punish people for crimes they may not have committed.

Hales is a bit of a tool as he's proved on numerous occasions but you're right, unless other people can corroborate like they have done with Vaughn etc, you'd have to give him the benefit of the doubt. Kevin does strike me as a rather odd choice for the name of a dog though.

Uncomfortable truth for the white, woke apologists that racism isn't a one way street.

Not only morally right but would be beneficial to the economy, eh?

At least those not Native Americans.

More your style seeing this type of redistribution aligns with the directions of your moral compass.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59338118Sometimes i think we are all part of the problem somewhere along the line and we all need to grow a little bit. I thought Tymal Mills statement was superb.
