They need 370 runs at 4.8 an over with 77 overs left in the day.
C’mon Sussex!

Awful decision by Blackwell to give Rocky out LBW.
Salisbury must have bribed him with a double cheeseburger for lunch!!

Awful decision by Blackwell to give Rocky out LBW. Salisbury must have bribed him with a double cheeseburger for lunch!! Wouldn't disagree Steve, never looked out. However, take a look at the very first ball of the innings to Stoneman from Ollie. How was that given not out? Ignore the myopic bias of the BBC London commentator, hit in front of off, hitting middle/middle and off. Would have been referred to DRS if available. I would say it balanced out.

Come on Sussex. Fascinating last day of play. Harmes does ramble on; and he does have his clear favourites. Get FHP back on commentary.

Middlesex should go for this. Haines is a poor captain and will go on the defensive making big gaps in the field to keep the scorecard ticking over. Plus apart from Robinson a bang average bowling attack.

Looks like a very generous declaration may be coming home to roost.

My earlier excitement has been somewhat squashed, not looking like a wicket any time soon.
Leaking runs, plenty of extras and a slow over rate!

Looks like a very generous declaration may be coming home to roost. The declaration was not generous. It was fair; if Middlesex win then well done to them; and a hard lesson for Sussex. Hopefully Robinson and Garton can make it difficult for Middlesex.

I disagree. Given the Sussex attack, the short boundary, the need to up the over rate, and the depth of Middlesex batting, I think it was very - and unnecessarily - generous.

Ollie strikes and the immediate comment from our 'friend' from BBC London is it was sliding done the leg side. Fortunately, Mr Harmes puts him straight. Perhaps I am being harsh, but Mr Harmes has my utmost respect having had to endure four whole days of his company in the commentary box.
