If Derbyshire declare overnight I am 100% certain Sussex will lose as Sussex lack the gohones to bat out an entire day. You might want to have a look at the previous Derbyshire match. Just some positivity would be nice rather the endless doom and gloom. Brooks will be recalled by Somerset after the match. I think what happened at Derbyshire with Haines and Pujara is the only reason I can think of why they did not enforce the follow on. 342 is enough and Derbyshire should declare overnight. However, I suspect they won't as they will be concerned about the short boundary. If Derbyshire bat 30 minutes and set us 375 off 86 overs our top five need to score 300 between them as I can't see 6-11 managing more than 75 between them. So for the last days at the last two test match Trent Bridge & Headingly gave free entry Sussex charge £20! How about a £5? As usual the management get it wrong.

A decent discount to encourage a full house and get some vocal support for Sussex. Make up income by selling bacon rolls all day as well as alcohol!

Sadly i dont think youll ever see Archer bowl a red ball again. But Carson definitely. Nonsense. By the time he's 32 and fully grown into his elbow he'll be golden. Gordy, everyone knows we're better with those three fit. Or just one of them. But everyone also knows that they ain't fit. Everyone has known for quite some time now but we've done sod all about it, despite it being clear and easy to do something about it. Albeit just replacing one of them. Amazed Derby didn't enforce the follow on. Never take an old game into a new one. Could be our saviour, maybe we can get the draw we set out to get in the first place. Wouldn't bet on it though. Well done to the Biz and Juice though. Three good knocks on the spin for the mullet. They're all struggling to get Carter. Thank you & goodnight.

I just think the relentless criticism of management who have had an entire bowling line up wiped out through inkury is a tad harsh. I dont think nothing has been done about it, weve actively recruited loans and replacement overseas players. Just because you shout about Ishant it doesnt mean that deal is available.

342 to win off 76 overs at 4.55 an over.
A surprising chance to save this game after Derby chose not to enforce the follow-on.

169 more runs required at Tea off 34 overs at a fraction under 5 an over.
In a match where we were facing yet another inevitable defeat, thanks to an inexplicable nonsensical failure to enforce the follow on by Derbyshire we have a real opportunity to secure our first win in the Championship in over a year.
If the roles were reversed and we had made that same error, I can't help feeling this message board would have gone into meltdown.
I thought when the boundaries dried up Orr and Alsop could have looked to pinch more singles, rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking over. But then again what do I know? Some outstanding big hitting has put us in a really good position at Tea.
Dare we dream?

They had only bowled 94 overs split over 2 days, we had just lost 5 wickets for nothing and rain was due. What were they thinking?

Forget minimum of 21 overs, there won’t be more than the minimum Derby have to bowl.

63 runs required off 12 at 5.25 and over. All down to Rizwan now after Orr is out, caught on the boundary.
Oh, for a Jonny Bairstow.

63 to win from 12 and the coms think it's gonna be tight. Plucked, oiled and in the oven.
What a ton from Orr. Just 20 this boy.
Better get that OS bowler in for the promotion charge. It could be Ishant or anyone, Liverpool or Rome. Don't matter Gordy, Ishant is an example cos I presume he's free and we've hired him before. And he's done rather well. Why all the stupid loans? One OS bowler, bang.
