All the time these bigoted people are on this messageboard I won’t be posting. As with most things it’s the few bad apples which spoil the crop. Yep, It's a Sussex Cricket Club fans messageboard. I personally hate seeing it being used to push peoples political agendas. Live and let live I say.

You were giving Rolf Harris a gee up the other day so we all know where your loyalties lie.

Zak Crawley… what the !!
He never learns. You know he’s going to get caught in the slips. You also know he’s going to get out in the 30s or 40s and simply hasn’t got the game or discipline to move on to 50, let along 100.
Only a few batsmen can play Bazball, but Crawley is not one of them, if you want your opener to offer stability in the top order. And there is the problem with Bazball…. very few England batsmen have the ability to play it… consistently.
For not everyone is Stokes.

Not sure I was giving Rolf a "gee up" but to use a cricketing metaphor, at least he didn't bat for the other side.

153-4 at lunch. 98 required for the must win Third Test. Brook 40*, Stokes 7*. Talk about a potentially painful afternoon ahead. Stokes goes early and we'll require the Imodium.

Actually laughable and I shouldn't reply. Painting flags is lost on you and its better to be a nonce than gay? Your a dangerous human being

And it's "you're" not "your" Wasn't it Crispin Blunt, a Tory MP who just before he came out said "there is a much greater strand of homosexuality than of heterosexuality which depends for its gratification on the exploitation of youth”. Presumably he was speaking from experience?

And relax! The series is still alive, thank goodness. Now we need to wrap Mark Wood in cotton wool until the next test.
I’m assuming Robinson won’t play, in which case I’d bring back Tongue. I’d also replace Bairstow (who’s having a nightmare series) with Foakes but I’d be amazed if they do that.

Yep, Bairstow is the one problem. If anyone says that the Ashes Tests are NOT the most exciting, dramatic And enjoyable cricketing format on this planet, then they must be deaf, dumb and blind! PS: The WHO are playing at Hove in two weeks time. Can’t wait.

When tests are played like this, it is indisputably the best form of the game. Truly nerve shredding and unbeatable sporting theatre. A raucous, intense atmosphere too.
Ball slightly dominating the bat often produces the most exciting matches. If only all games were played on a similar wicket to the one produced at Headingley.
Yup, another fabulous test in Leeds but the ground does miss out in 2027 before returning for the 2031 Ashes. Southampton instead has an Ashes test. I know. For what it’s worth, Old Trafford also misses out in 2027 and Edgbaston in 2031.

With Ollie Rob not selected for the 4th test i had a look at the average of our bowling attack and it's 36
Wood 33 Woakes 34 Anderson 40 Broad 37 Ali 36
I know this is a one off series in terms of just winning it without looking to broadly in to the future but in a years time we could plausibly looking for 5 new bowlers. Where are these coming from?

The moment Ollie got injured during the last Test, this move to return Anderson was on the cards. I presume Robinson won't be available for Sussex in case he re-injures himself. The Ashes: James Anderson replaces Ollie Robinson for England in fourth Testwww.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/66221681Re: An over-the-hill bowling attack, I could not agree more. Potts and Tongue, presumably... unlikely Archer will make a return (needs a small miracle). Who else?

I take the point about the age of our pace bowlers, but quick bowlers, unlike batsmen and spinners, often emerge from nowhere. It's not time to be too downhearted yet. Indeed, who had thought about Tongue a year or two ago? Chances are some newbies will appear by the time the Aussies come here again. As for the next Ashes Down Under - 5-0 to the Aussies.
