Our Melbourne Stars batting coach sums up the BBL09 farce. Two words: RESERVE DAYS. This rain-drenched Final is now 12 overs per team. The Sydney Sixers batted first and scored 116-5. In response, the Melbourne Stars are 24-3 after 4 overs with danger man Stoinis already out. The match is LIVE on BTSports. The Stars made a dream start with Marcus Stoinis picking up 10 runs off the first three balls only to be caught on the ropes via ball 4. Ground staff at Worcestershire CCC should be given a special ECB award for all their hard work during the year. How many other county cricket grounds experience regular, often, devastating floods. None. So when Britain faces yet another storm, it is natural to pop along to their social media to see how the New Road staff are coping. Those who have been against the new 100 competition have said it could detrimentally affect the T20 tournament's success. Whereas,
I have said all along that the T20 won't be affected by The 100 and that this will continue to grow and become even more popular.

I am surprised this news hasn't been picked up already. If only Luke Wells could find

change to limit official team personnel to 23 You've gotta feel sorry for the England lads. No runner to dash down to the local McDonalds at 10pm. No runner to discreetly bring in the beers for a late night drinking session. No lady to offer a much-needed massage outside of official physiotherapy hours. This is terrible news for the boys. Only eight off-field employees allowed!? This is four less staff than last Summer's World Cup. There has been much excitement over the years about the potential of the USA embracing cricket and turning this sport into a
