jb,
I must admit I'm a bit shocked but the info comes from a source within the club. If it had been Luke Wright I wouldn't be so surprised.
It really is all change on the field if the Davis rumours are true too. As I commented some weeks back, "IN ROB WE TRUST!"

jb, I must admit I'm a bit shocked but the info comes from a very high source within the club. If it had been Luke Wright I wouldn't be so surprised. It really is all change on the field if the Davis rumours are true too. As I commented some weeks back, "IN ROB WE TRUST!" That's just it, first Joyce, then Magoffin, now Nash. Does anyone trust Sussex to adequately replace them

Rather shocking news, seems a bit off to leave at the end of a testimonial year and while still under contract? Unless of course he’s retiring from playing?

Well, someone has got a lot of explaining to do, if this is true.

But why are all these rumours coming from 'sources within the club'? Why are the supporters and more importantly members of the club being treated like children with no official statements regarding important developments? All we get is spoon fed one year contract extensions when all anyone is interested in is the big stories which are just being left to fester as rumours like coach leaving, top bat leaving. Awful communication from the club

The club's in a total mess, he's had a truly awful first year in charge

Going by that last sentence, is he going to another county?

Am I the only one that finds that statement a bit disrespectful?
5 lines not really giving much of a nod to the thousands of runs in all formats he scored. Not even a picture of him.
What a fine career... I have to say it seems a real shame he's not ended his career at Sussex.

Further decline of a once ambitious club Absolutely gutted by this decision, and would love to know Chris’s thoughts behind his request Additionally, I have no confidence whatsoever, in the club adequately replacing, either him, or Magoffin

Going by that last sentence, is he going to another county? Who knows? The statement is (?deliberately) vague, isn't it?

Perhaps it was a ‘him or me ‘ situation and the fact that Nash has gone means that Davis is staying?

What is going on?! Can't believe we are losing Nash so there must have been a bust up - perhaps he wanted the captaincy?
A couple of sentences for a player who has scored 1000s of runs across all formats and given his whole career to the club is a joke.
Hope we don't lose Luke Wright now as well.
