Jofra's scored a bullseye. No mucking about. He's passed GO and gone straight to England. Archer has been named in the one-day squads for games against Pakistan and Ireland. Depending on his initial success, sadly, Jofra may be a rarity at Hove from now on. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/47788888

Not a spectacular debut from Jofra in his first international game returning figures of 1 for 40. He was out-bowled by Curran and Plunkett who took 7 wickets between them.
Plenty of time though for him to stake a claim to a WC spot and I’m sure he’ll only get better as he settles into his new role.

After today’s demolition of the Aussie’s and the adulation Jofra seems to be soaking up with that characteristic wry - it’s only been a matter of time - smile he’s has since we’ve known him at Hove, it’s somewhat ironic that he had to very nearly knock our other recent signing’s head off (well - helmet off - but from the INSIDE!) to press home his Ashes bid. We may be lucky to see him at Hove again at the very beginning or end of a season, but from my own point of view, ‘it’s been a pleasure, Jofra, happy sailing’ - of balls past noses, that is.

I was privileged to see him play at Hove for 2 1/2 seasons, before the rest of the world realised he was special and he is now on verge of all time greatness.
Good luck Jofra on Sunday.

Now that Jofra appears to have cemented his place in the England set up, and a central contract is on its way, perhaps we need to think about a replacement That this was an obvious progression, hopefully moves will be in place. Perhaps we should also have one eye on Robbo’s situation His outstanding performances have brought him to the attention of the England selectors, hence his call up for the England A squad We’ve been dormant for too long, when it comes to recruitment, so now is the time to start thinking about strengthening the squad

Archer injured. ECB will cotton wool him now surely; cementing unavailability for T20 throughout.

Yeah forget Archer Dom. We won't even see him for a couple of games in April what with the IPL. Jump on the Rawlins bus.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but as Archer isn't in the 12 for the first test, does that mean he may be available for Friday?
