Although I generally prefer not to read too much into what happens in friendly games, there are some mixed thoughts coming out of the warm up games on the South Africa tour and at The Ageas Bowl this week. It's heartening to see the more experienced batsmen, namely Wells, Wright and Brown, getting plenty of runs as well as Finch scoring 100 in South Africa albeit against Durham MCCU. However, it would be good to see some of the fringe players get 50 or more as there are certain to be some less experienced players taking the field at Edgbaston in just over two weeks unless, of course, there are some late recruits arriving. Also, some of the bowlers would like to have a few more wickets in the scorebook.
Hopefully, the rain will keep away and give some players a chance to get ready for the start of the County Championship season on Friday 13th April against Warwickshire.

Yes it’s a worry, however as you say, they are only friendliest The same shortcomings are still evident, in fact more polarised following the loss of Nash and Magoffin

Day 1 is washed out. With the weather forecast looking worse tomorrow, it may be a game that never happens.

all of us.
I would think some obvious people for the job Dizzy, Langer might stay clear of this job for 2 -3 years and let someone else clear up the mess first, especially as Cricket Australia ( CA) have already lost some of their major sponsors.
Also, I imagine CA will take a very long hard look as to how they want the team to be run.

No surprise today was abandoned before the rain even arrived ! With a lot of rain forecast between now and Sunday I fear even Sunday , although dry and cold, may not happen....Monday and Tuesday more of the same 😠
