Well I got the batting lineup right!
Really great performance - this bowling attack has been threatening to completely dismantle a side and they did it tonight.
I must say, I much prefer it when Mills comes round to the right-handed bats.

Just back from the match and a throughly enjoyable time was had by all Sussex supporters. The usual dodgy batting start followed by 'Mr Consistent' Evans once again proving that you can attain regular T20 high scores; fantastic hitting from Archer at the end, followed by high class spin from Rashid and, of course, Mills hatrick with Glamorgan done and dusted in less than 14 overs.
What a fantastic confidence booster going forward to the last two 'must-win' games. Perhaps, Wright should remain on the sidelines for now?

Excellent all round team performance Just goes to show what this attack can do when we are able to put some runs on the board

We’ve lost the toss and have been put in to bat first. Advantage Glamorgan. Finch and Mills play. Advantage Glamorgan. Mills Hat-trick; Finch two good catches and some quick runs (plus a good team performance) Win Sussex

The Finch catches were game changing, the Mills hat-trick came when we’d already won the game because of the brilliance of Rashid Khan plus excellent bowling from Jordan, Archer and Briggs. I’d be more impressed if Mills could get 1,2 and 3 rather than 9,10 jack.

Glamorgan must be beginning to hate approaching Junction 7 on the M25 as they see the sign for Brighton and Gatwick. They have had three innings at Hove this season in which they have accumulated 261 for 30 wickets. Last night, Glamorgan started as though they would make a serious assault on our total of 186 as they reached 50 for 0 in the fifth over. Maybe, I jinxed them as I said to a nearby supporter "it's strange how they can score runs so easily when they were bowled twice for 80-odd in the County Championship". The jinx continued amongst the group about me when I warned someone behind me that Ingram was a danger man and in great form. "Archer will get him" said the lady behind me and sure enough next ball Ingram picked out Finch at mid off and departed for 1. Glamorgan settled again though and proceeded to 70 for 2. Another lady behind me was heard to say "We could do with getting Carlson out this over" and, sure enough, he was caught brilliantly by Evans. By this time, it only took the ladies behind to think about a wicket and their wish was granted as Rashid Khan and Tymal Mills took their last 5 wickets in 8 balls. Rashid's spell of 3 over for 3 wickets for 9 runs looked unplayable and tricky for Burgess to read too.
Earlier, Sussex had looked to be missing Luke Wright as two wickets fell in the Power Play. Salt got bogged down for a few balls and got out while Finch departed after a breezy 22 in 11 balls. A total of 150 or just over looked a distinct possibility until Evans and Burgess accelerated the scoring rate and Archer became a bowler's nightmare by hitting either straight sixes, edged fours or playing and missing. Mention, though, should be made of Delray Rawlins who batted very sensibly to put us on a steady path; he was annoyed with himself to get out when he did. And, Laurie Evans continues to impress in this format - he mixes common sense with big hitting well.
Tymal Mills wrapped up the day with his first professional hat trick to have most of the crowd out of their seats at the end. It was a welcome change from the rather downbeat atmosphere of the T20 home defeats this season. It was time for the Glamorgan players to get on their coach, put on their blindfolds so that they didn't that sign for the M23 to Brighton on the other carriageway.
The league table looks wholly different this morning. With the threat of rain in Bristol tomorrow, we can still qualify if it is a no result tomorrow and we win on Friday whatever the others do. Last night's result has severely damaged Glamorgan's net run rate and, of course, improved ours. We could even qualify with one no result and a loss, but let's hope we keep the momentum going because the team really did look up for it last night.
