Fantastic to see such a young English bowler taking the IPL by storm. A hat-trick early on in his first tournament. That's pretty special. In fact, it's quite amazing.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. I remember taking a catch a bit like that at Bovey Tracey in Devon in 1975 or thereabouts. Well, I jumped a bit to make the catch as I recall.

Ha ha! I remember taking a similar catch at Three Bridges just in front of the groundsmans shed, I was at full stretch and as I caught the ball I tripped over the rope into a huge pile of grass cuttings and disappeared........but held the ball aloft!

As India play out Day 5 to prevent Australia going ahead in the Test series. A little bit of gamesmanship as an Aussie rubs out Pant's guard marks. Is it just me that finds this sort of thing irritating? Allegedly, it was someone with a common surname that was the offender.

I think he had 49 on his back - that's Steve Smith's number. He even prefaces his dirty trick by pretending to practice a stroke - as a left-hander!

Law 41.12.1 is clear. It is unambiguous. It is unfair to cause deliberate or avoidable damage to the pitch. A fielder will be deemed to be causing avoidable damage if either umpire considers that his/her presence on the pitch is without reasonable cause.
