What are the chances of this being Murray Goodwin's last match at Hove? There was an item on BBC website recently reporting that he was unsure whether Glamorgan would keep him due to cost & one would wonder whether or not another county would engage him.

48 overs, is that the end of the innings?

Oh well, well batted Sussex, and well done Harry Finch who would surely have bagged his century were it not been for those lost overs When it's adjusted, what will Glamorgan require from their 48 overs?

Gosh, this 50 over malarkey is so exciting, not, what about one ball for the first 35 overs and giving the fielding captain the option to take a second new ball after then to spice things up, or better still scrap it and go back to 40 overs at all levels

It's a tedious format, isn't it? Have you really made the effort to go to this match?

It's a tedious format, isn't it? Have you really made the effort to go to this match? Did indeed with son and brand new daughter in law who was thrilled to be there! Missed first 25 overs due to work commitments which is a shame as missed best of LW's innings. None of us like 50 over, we all much prefer 40 over and can't see why international games can't be 40 overs as well. They keep tweaking it to make it more interesting but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

I went, saw Wright make a good 100, Finch show that we do have a batsman of flair and talent coming through. I thought at half time how well Sussex had batted against a good Glamorgan bowling attack. Rudolph scored a brilliantly timed and managed 160, Goodwin reminded everyone what we was. The Sussex bowling then looked as good as Glamorgan's. Then we discussed the game. 650+ runs and 6 wickets! It's supposed to be a contest? Our conclusion? The wicket. It was just for batting, not bowling. Not a contest. Games like this will stop me, my friends and others attending. Groundsman, pop up to Horsham, learn from them how to produce a wicket and a contest.
And please no excuses about re-laid this, and weather etc. Make wickets so we the paying public are entertained. Entertainment this was not.
Zac, can all we have a re-fund please?

I can't comment on the pitch as I wasn't there but yes, it doesn't really make for a good contest. As for the result, meh, the competition was long gone for us. It was probably a chastening experience for the young lads when a vastly more experienced Glamorgan side chased down the runs with an over to spare. My thoughts are, better for the young lads to be gaining that experience than the older heads such as Liddle, Lewis and Zaidi.
