Great win and 24 points to go 2nd
Take a bow Ollie Robinson, 10 wickets in the match. Now rest well before Arundel!
Not good for the old ticker supporting Sussex sometimes!

Buried someone at last, just about. Six overs for Beer - just not trusted to bowl no matter what it seems. If you're not gonna give someone a go, don't play them. We should have been rotating the seamers around him all day. We'll just ware out Robinson instead. What's happened to Jordan?

Well, that's a relief.
I don't understand Brown's (non) use of Beer. Having picked him for once, why does he then turn to Wells when he needs a leg spinner? Serious question . . .

Jason Gillespie fielding as a substitute at the end, I understand, as Phil Salt and Laurie Evans were off the field. Anyone have any info on their injuries?

No idea on Evans but Salt's hand looked pretty painful when he went past us. Definitely bleeding- looked nasty. I hope he's ok as he's been fantastic this year - could do without losing him for a period!

All the facts & figures are up to date on the main website. Ollie Robinson's efforts at Lord's ensure that his stats shine. Take a look and make some comments. from-the-sea-end.co.uk/facts-figures/

Isn’t it about time Ollie Robinson was capped?

No I’m not ludicrous, merely stating a fact. Presumably you think Murray Goodwin should’ve been sacked rather than becoming a Kolpak? Anyway, onto the match, yes I agree what a brilliant knock by Van Zyl. You're not stating a fact mate, they are all overseas players. You don't mind Kolpaks is all it comes down to, but don't say it's a fact that they are not overseas players because it's the opposite and if we only had to answer to English cricket laws and not EU laws they would not be allowed to play unless their was just one of them, to nicely coincide with the one overseas rule. No I wouldn't have sacked Goodwin, I would have kept him on as our one overseas player and not tried to cheat by signing more overseas players. Jonboy would have eleven super-droid-terminator killing machines from Saturn if it meant winning all the time. You got no soul Jonboy. Why don't you want Sakande or Garton to be given the opportunity to be archer's replacement? As for the game, Beer might not even get a chance to shine with the ball the way our seamers are finding the Middle batters. He'll probably get bumped for Briggs in the next game cos he got match figures of none for none off none. Sorry to be picky, but when Goodwin switched from overseas to Kolpak, it was when you were allowed two overseas players, we had Mushy and by playing within the rules (not cheating), we were able to sign Rana Naved as well. So which one of those would you rather we didn’t have?

It's not relevant. My argument has always been that I'd like us and everyone to abide by our own cricket rules, not some EU directive that opens up a loophole meaning if they want any side can have 11 overseas players. You seem to be focusing on how good a player was for us. I don't care.
That said, Ul Hasan I reckon. In 2006 he was awesome of course, to take the words from your mouth. What a team, what an attack, what a season. They were great overseas players and that seems to be gone these days. Even just one of them.
