A draw written all over it, and a tedious one at that

Jonboy always wise after?
Am I the only one wondering why Briggs is bowling and not potential wicket takers Beer & Wells? Briggs being left out for not getting wickets is first in to do what? 20 wickets, 2 days, or 1 and a bit, and we get our most negative bowler on? I would suggest the coach has a word, be more positive on the field, try getting some wickets. Runs are not important, wickets are. Stop replying on Robinson. Use others.

Unfortunately, since Archer has departed for England, the frailties of the Sussex bowling is for all to see. Jordan has lost form (12 wickets) and the spinners are toothless (Briggs has only gained 4 Champo wickets this season. Shocking!) We are relying far too heavily on Robinson (22), Hamza (20) and Wiese (19) for our wickets this season and if any are injured that vulnerability is then emphasised. Mir Hamza leaves the Club after the Lancashire Championship match (July 16th), so what happens if Ollie gets injured again during the latter and all-important part of this season? sussexcricket.co.uk/news/mir-hamza-join-sussex-nine-matches

Be good if we could target a match winning OS bowler, someone who will make a real difference At most counties, the OS player is the star of the show, rarely are they at Sussex.

Jordan and the spinner whoever it is (it should be Beer) need to step up. What if Robinson gets called up for the Lions? We need 7 wickets for 40 no chance!

181- 3 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . .
This is why folks watch white ball cricket. Nobody's fault - red ball cricket just isn't always a spectator sport.
EDIT: and now rain stops play. Would be kinder and more humane to all concerned if it now rained all day.

Apart from 2 bowling bonus points being up for grabs which could yet end up being the difference between getting promoted and not. Remember Middlesex got relegated for losing two points due to a slow over rate.

At the moment we’re gifting them some batting points.
Why not bowl Beer? Does Brown not have confidence in him? If I remember correctly Beer took a 10fer at Arundel a couple of years ago against the tourists.

Why has Sakande been given the new ball ahead of Wiese and Jordan?

Garbage from Sussex. Umpires should end the game in 14 balls.
Is Wiese injured? 11 overs 1-25. He should have bowled more.
Their number eight batsman has a career best of 235!

May as well give Brown (let Finch keep) and Van Zyl a bowl.
