After many years consistently writing on this Forum, my lack of recent input is due to a suffocating sense of disillusionment
with the club. Just when you believe things can't get any worse, they do!
I don't understand how some posters can feel optimism about the future. A massive and highly destructive gamble is being taken
by the Club hierarchy re: the youngsters, where the chances of this succeeding is probably 70% (failure) and 30% (success).
Next season, I will only be attending the T20 home games, where at least we have a side that can compete. Meanwhile, I'll be
spending a lot more time at Arundel Castle CC, enjoying the ground, views, matches and general ambience.

Can assure 2 of recent leavers Salt and Brown have not left for monetary reasons but disillusioned

Where’s Andyb gone from this board? He called all this ages ago and then got hounded off it! (Would be interested to know if he still supports Grubby) As for the club, what a total disgrace. We are a laughing stock He didn't get hounded off, despite my best efforts. He was pulled for saying too much. The reason he knew so much LB is because his bosses were making all the decisions. They got Brown out, they got everyone out. They're murdering the club. Not sure why though. They've actually got quite lucky that we have produced, and are producing, quality home-grown talent. I don't know about the coaches, I assume they're cheap desperate for a job yes men who answer to the real havoc-wreakers. Brown was not only disillusioned but also scape-goated and humiliated, in my opinion. Looking like the best No.3 we've had since Yardy, in a settled top 3. No more though. Good luck to him. |
