I've only posted a couple of times on here, but thought I'd share this with you all... You may have seen in the press recently a number of articles relating to a group of cricketers from the Vatican touring the UK in a series of T20 matches ( www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/09/vatican-st-peters-cricket-team-england-tour-pope-francis), and for those of you who thought that the last chance of watching any cricket locally this summer was going to be at Hove on Friday, then there is the opportunity to watch one more game at Preston Park, Brighton on Sunday 14th September as Brighton's St Peters Cricket Club will take on the Vatican XI in a warm up match before their crunch game against a Church of England XI starting at 14:30. It should be a great day starting off with a school's tournament in the morning, followed by a BBQ, bar, cake stool etc throughout the afternoon. Sussex's own Sid the Shark will be there to provide entertainment and Sky Sports News have said they will be sending some cameras to cover the game as well. So if the thought of Friday being the last day of cricket you will see this summer is too much then feel free to come along and enjoy the entertainment. Thanks.

bryan, Many thanks for that. Great post. Sounds a great cricket day out. I'll be there. I will avoid the religious puns too.
