Maybe the big guns will help carry the water and on and off. quite agree is it a Sussex 2nd team or a Sussex 1st team with a few 2nd 11 players in it typical Sussex need to win something makes a complete mockery of the competition 👎

I would have been happier with Wright, Beer, Mills and Bopara playing as they only play white ball.
I’d actually like to see us lose the final now.

Disgraceful - Sussex are cheating. How desperate can you get? I am very disappointed in the club's behaviour today, but I don't suppose they give a damn what I think.

When was the last time Rawlins got a score? Delray continues to struggle. He should have been the player in the final to get us close. He always wants to play the big shot, and when it matters usually get out. Not impressed.

When was the last time Rawlins got a score? He was out to a disappointingly predictable shot in the final. If he was improving I would persist with him but in my humble opinion he is going backwards fast and the exit door is where he looks to be heading through at the end of this season. To be fair Warwickshire were the best team on the day and deserved to win. To be bowled out for 94 chasing 150 was extremely disappointing but was inevitable after losing four middle order wickets (Rawlins, Orr, Coles and Meaker) in quick succession to George Garrett who finished with five wickets by dismissing Joe Sarro. South African born Matt Montgomery scored 66 for Warwickshire in the semi-final and 60 in the final and bowled well in both games with his bin. South African born Wicketkeeper-batsman Benjamin captained very well and looks as if he be a good understudy / competition for Michael Burgess. Sidebottom bowled well in both games taking six wickets. Sibley scored 16 and 3. Their South African spinner Van volavon or something bowled well in both games.

I was at Arundel today and it was a game of two Sussex batting halves. The first half was Salt and Head smashing the Yorkshire bowlers to all parts (I have never seen such destructive batting in all my years of watching - absolutely fantastic and quite breathtaking); the second half (the Final) was a Sussex 2nd XI team asking "What the hell has just happened to our top three batsmen?" The Warwickshire lads were ecstatic to learn they weren't playing which created an immediate psychological boost for them.
Who chose to drop Salt, Head and Bopara? Complaints and pressure from both Yorkshire and Warwickshire? The ECB? It was bizarre and the Sussex side seemed bereft which then showed in their poor batting performance. I do not understand what happened today. Perhaps, the Club should come clean and explain its actions.
Re:Rawlins, I agree with the Forum sentiment. Here was a chance to shine and steer the side to victory, yet after settling in, he then gives a dolly catch, on a plate, to long on. He needs a top batting coach to sort his head out. No self-discipline at all. Presently, Rawlins' massive talent is being flushed down the drain.
Meanwhile, Warwickshire richly deserved to win the Final.

Could Sussex have really got any sense of satisfaction from winning just because they had Salt, Head and Bopara in their line up. It is supposed to be a 2XI competition. I am surprised the competition rules don't exclude these three from playing. Why did Haines, Clark, Ibrahim, Carson, Hunt and Atkins not play?
