Well well well. Give all that money back faker. Reinstate everyone at Yorkshire. Nothing to see here, as has been known all along by anyone who isn't a middle class privileged woke virtue signaller.
Case closed.

Is there anything you don't have a chip on your shoulder about?

The word "hilarious" could be used concerning this latest twist, but given the sensitivity of the issues, this now imploding story-line may cause confusion especially amidst the centre-left media. How much do they focus now on the "anti-semitic" part and how much
on the "increasing racism in cricket."
Meanwhile, the witchhunt of "historical tweets" continues with Tim Paine quitting as Australian Captain. I note a company has recently formed who advertises its role to help those in the public eye to identify sensitive past tweets, blogs, social media comments etc. which come under the perceived umbrella: Racist, Anti-Semitic, Me-Too or General Woke and then to comprehensively
delete them.
I would imagine there must be a long line from Bollywood to Hollywood, sports people across the board, politicians and the like
clamouring for their business. Witch-hunts usually end in tears like McCarthyism from the 1940s and '50s, when Joseph McCarthy
gradually lost his public popularity and credibility after several of his accusations were found to be false.
Perhaps, the Azeem Rafiq anti-semite tweets is the beginning of a similar fate, who knows?

I guess the simplest solution to not having to resign from your job for sending people unasked for pictures of your pecker or making offensive social media comments is just to not do these things, plenty of people manage to get through life without doing this just fine.

Is there anything you don't have a chip on your shoulder about? I'm guessing liquidskin is a well balanced individual - a chip on each shoulder.

One simple sentence, edited. One sentence. Did you spell chip wrong Flash? Or was it shoulder? 'A ship on each soldier he's got'. Seriously, why do you people edit so much?
I've got a couple of staff going through the archives looking for stuff where my shoulders are chip free. Hoping for some positive news by Monday.
If I had my way regarding this s**t storm, where I've been commenting on any updates regularly by the way, people would have been reprimanded and warned about their future conduct, including Rafiq for his 'racist' joke about Jews being tight, and everything would be back to normal by now. The liberal woke way though is what we're getting - jobs lost, careers ruined, reputations tarnished and scores of people being ostracised for years to come. Whose shoulder is the chip really on?
There's more to come on the faker's incentives.

No need to make a big deal about editing.

Well there's a whole host of regular clumsy spellers on here isn't there. And deleters lately. Maybe you just have Homer Simpson fingers. They do bigger keypads for fat older people now, FWIW.

Do you really think the fact that cricket has a problem with racism will be shut down? Or can be shut down? Or do you just want things to go back to what they were, with calling brown people 'Pak*s' is judged to be 'banter'?

What exactly do you mean when you say "The Azeem Rafiq story is dead in the water"? Whatever indiscretions and misdemeanours he may have committed doesn't detract one iota from cricket's admitted racial problems. The fact that he acted as a catalyst for Yorkshire's downfall isn't diminished by these revelations. You're sounding like a typical over-excited Daily Mail hack!

Goodness me, you lot are sensitive. I am referring to Azeem Rafiq and not the general racist story in cricket. That will continue, of course it will.
The excellent Yorkshire Post and Chris Waters broke the story 13 hours ago. A Google search shows that It took another 7 hours before the Telegraph then picked up on the story followed by the Daily Mail a further 6 hours later (one hour ago). The centre left media remain, not surprisingly, quiet on this latest Rafiq revelation.

This thread is about the Yorkshire racist problem, not about Rafiq's social media mistakes. There is no point in conflating the two very separate issues, and muddying this thread.

The Yorkshire Post scoop about Azeem Rafiq and his “creepy and vulgar” WhatsApp texts sent to a 16 year-old girl in 2015 was first
published over two days ago and apart from the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail, followed by The Metro a day later, no other mainstream
newspaper/website (MSM) has touched it, especially the centre-left outlets. No mention of it on the BBC Website, for example, where previous racist stories concerning Rafiq remain on its front page. What may occur is the theme will go quiet for a short time and when the MSM decide the public has forgotten about Rafiq’s latest indiscretion,
bring it back. After last week’s hullabaloo, the calm today is refreshing. Only the Telegraph has published a story entitled “What now for the game
of cricket after racism scandal that touched every player in the country?” Apart from the opening paragraph there is little other mention
of Azeem Rafiq. Perhaps, this is how the media will play it? Erase Rafiq from our minds, move on, and focus on the bigger racist story. www.telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2021/11/22/now-game-cricket-racism-scandal-touched-every-player-country/
