This one is being shown on Sky, 7pm start.
Anyone’s guess what the line-up will be but I would suggest putting a batter at 9 is not the way forward!
Hants have played 3 won 1 and are 8th in the table on the same points as us but with a worse NRR.

We have to show more respect to the oppo bowling. For some players it seems that the only way to score runs is to try and hit it as hard as possible. This will not work. Also get in before playing the "trick shots". Will be interesting to see the batting lineup; I agree no point having a batter at 9. After Farbrace's interview maybe Ward and Ibrahim come into the equation. I can only assume Haines not fully fit to field in a T20; he did play 2 T20 friendlies already this week. McAndrew to come back at the expense of who?

Bopara late getting to the ground as stuck in traffic on the motorway. You have to ask why he wasn’t at Hove to get on the coach with the team?
Still no McAndrew and no Tymal tonight either.

Very good question Joe. Unless Bopara has a good reason for not travelling on the bus, this is disgraceful. Captaincy at its worst.

An opportunity for Haines at last! We’re hitting them with a triple Tom at the top of the order. Presumably there’s some squad rotation given two games in successive days. Pleased to see we’re batting first.

Why isn’t Mills playing when it’s such an inexperienced team? I know we’ve got back to back games but he should have played this one especially as Bopara is awol.

Its truly pathetic Mills cannot bowl 8 overs in 2 days he only plays one format! If he cannot play two days his future at the county needs to be reviewed. Similarly if Bopara cannot arrive at the ground on time he should be stripped of the captaincy as this is totally unprofessional. A captain should lead by example. Why did he not travel with the team? As far as the team selection is concerned is Farbrace picking the names out of a hat? Khan has been poor with the bat and apart from one innings at Surrey Burgess has also been poor. Performance tonight sums up the general lack of professionalism at the county.

Quite right CP. Can you think of a football or rugby captain not being at the ground for start of play at an away game. This is astonishing and unproffesional. I have always had my doubts about Boapara. This confirms it. To make it worse the brainless SKY commentators are missing the point. As captain he should have been on the team bus from Hove. He should be sacked. Winger over, but I am really hacked off.

I am afraid we are where we are, it is what it is!!
Our T20 side is where our Championship side were three seasons ago.
Farbrace is doing the best he can with what he has to work with, but regretfully this squad has been systematically dismantled and will take sometime to rebuild.
It will also take time for some of the younger players to gain experience and develop their skills in this format.
I suspect Farbrace isn't even sure what is his best starting eleven, although it isn't helped by some strange team selections that do appear to leave a very unbalanced line up.
No Orr, Bopara, McAndrew and Mills. Men against Boys!!
On the topic of Bopara, he got to the ground. Surely, he could have been named in the eleven? Or has Farbrace made a point by leaving him out?
I fear our campaign will come down to a battle with Middlesex for the wooden spoon.

The M27 between J5 and J7 was, at one stage closed in both directions. You would come off at J7 for Ageas, if from Portsmouth direction then Westbound coming past J8, if from M3 then Eastbound coming past J5. It was opened Westbound fairly quickly with 3 of the 4 lanes open. From the East it is still closed with posts on social media suggesting there may have been a fatality. Either direction would have caused problems, but especially if Eastbound from M3.

Why was Bopara not travelling with the rest of the team?

Given Farbrace was not in the slightest bit happy about the batting in the last match, he is going to be apoplectic after this display.
Can't see it happening, but if we were to get anything from this game, it will be one of our greatest ever T20 comebacks!!

I hope everyone involved in the incident is OK
