Absolute carnage.

We really don't help ourselves. More than the required fielders outside the 30 metre ring at one stage, three no-balls, eight wides and am I right in thinking yet gain we fail to bowl all our overs within the prescribed cut off time?

Yes they are a good team and yes it is a good wicket, but our bowling was at times rather generous.

Given all our 'regular' bowlers consistently went to and over the boundary rope, am I the only one questioning why Bopara didn't turn to Ibrahim, Coles or even Clark? Surely, they couldn't have done any worse.

Interestingly, it appears it was Mills who rallied the troops mid-innings.

I doubt if any of us expected it not to be a difficult match, but barring something extraordinary we have been handed a real lesson tonight.

A major rethink required over the winter to decide how we are going to make our T20 squad competitive again. May take a couple of seasons.

We were hammered. No hiding place here.
Once again Farbrace mentioned in his interview that players and staff need to learn and get better.
First job is to replace Kirtley.
Part of the current T20 debacle has been his doing.
We do have some good talent that requires time and leadership.
Ravi, good player but has to go.
Burgess good player, but not the Sussex future. Must be difficult being an up and coming keeper at Sussex when last year and this year so called better keepers are helicoptered in. Alsop is fine and playing him as keeper would have given us more options to support opportunities for our talent.
Khan has been a huge disappointment.
We need to get smarter with our overseas.
Big guns paper over the cracks and Khan hasn't even done this.
Mills has tried his best and has even played 2 games in 2 days. The jury is out for me on him.

My big concern is that our T20 hammerings and all that has gone with it don't have a negative impact on our red ball game. Good man management needed and lots of positivity.
