Final group stage match. I think we can still secure a home quarter final, we need to win and hope other results go our way.
Cant imagine there’ll be any changes to the line-up.

I’m expecting Carson to return probably at the expense of Currie.

Middlesex win the toss and elect to bat.
Carson comes in for McAndrew.

Middlesex win the toss and elect to bat. Carson comes in for McAndrew. I know this sounds daft, but McAndrew missing will probably have more of an impact on our batting than our bowling. An economy rate of almost 10 an over with the ball compared to a strike rate of over 200 and an average of 39.25 with the bat in the competition this season.

How many times do our second string bowlers go for boundaries on the last ball of their over? (Too many times)

Glamorgan are storming it against Somerset, so second place looks on for us again.

I fully sympathise with the injury he sustained in trying to take the catch, but looks like that drop by Lamb could prove very expensive.
Given his subsequent absence from the bowling attack, a lot of responsibility now on Carson to deliver. Unless they turn to Clark, he will need to bowl more than his obligatory single over.

That was some catch by Danny Lamb, hope his shoulder is OK.
The Glamorgan score though!

Three wickets down in the powerplay then we drop Davies before he had scored and lose a bowler. I feared at one point that we were going to let them off the hook.
Full credit to our spin twins who did a great job in the middle overs to pull it back. Really impressed with Carson tonight, probably the best he has bowled in the competition.
I am being overly critical, but for a few careless moments in the field and a few loose deliveries, we could have been chasing twenty less.
A much improved performance compared to yesterday. What is the betting they got a rollicking from Farbrace.
If we can't chase this down, we don't deserve a home tie. Come on Glamorgan!!

It makes our choice to bowl only one over of spin at Taunton even more mystifying. And Farbrace will definitely have given them a rollicking. Here’s one of his choice quotes as reported by the Argus. “At times our running between the wickets was schoolboyish. I can accept losing when, but not when we haven’t put everything into the game.”

Always an element of luck in T20. Looks like Somerset could miss out. Also, bottom-placed Kent giving top-placed Surrey a bumpy ride.
