I think we should be lenient here. You just need to write 100 lines: "I must not confuse other members of the message board by posting comments on the wrong thread."

I am delighted to see that the idea of cricket supporters paying to watch a live-stream county game is building. This is such an obvious way of making vitally important revenue, especially with the matches presently behind closed doors and with Covid never too far away. FREE home match viewing could become part of the full County Membership making this more attractive, whereas others pay per game, depending on which matches they wish to watch.
SKY TV affiliate NOW charge £9.99 for 24 hours of watching SKY Sports. I would suggest, initially, a fee of £10 to watch four days of Championship cricket and £5 to view a T20 or RLC game. Now, how will this affect the ECB deal with SKY? It won't as the county cricket they show live would not be covered by local streaming.
Meanwhile, the Club as with the T20 Blast could offer a package to watch all home games. Say, £60 upfront to view all home Championship matches and £30 for all T20 etc.. Away games would be a separate issue, where the host charges a fee per match for the away supporter.
As to the revenue gained, if 10,000 people pay £10 per Championship format, 20,000 per T20 etc.. That's a minimum of £1.5m extra annual revenue for each County. This then takes the financial pressure off the ECB as they start the process of rebuilding essential funds after Covid.
Hopefully, the 18 Counties are already discussing the idea with the ECB. If not, then they are fools.

Ah, those wonderful, sumptuous, feel-good days before county cricket "had to go part-time".

The T20 Competition is Almost Upon Us __________________________________________________
Hard to believe given the bizarre and challenging county cricket season faced this year that not only is the T20 tournament intact, but starts this Thursday for most counties with Sussex following up with a home game against Surrey on Friday. A case of pinch yourself when back in May and June it was all doom and gloom. After the one high and then ensuing lows of watching the Club in the BWT, Sussex have an outside chance of winning the Trophy. Under Gillespie, his first season led the Club to The Final, only to be beaten by Worcestershire, and after a strong group display last year, momentum disappeared and Sussex were beaten by the same team in the QFs. So nothing would give the players more joy than sending the outgoing coach Jason Gillespie back to Australia with a trophy. Ravi - The Seasoned T20 CampaignerOf course, there is no Alex Carey this season, who had a powerful effect on raising the squad's standard of T20 play in 2019, as well as Rashid Khan or the new signing Travis Head. Instead, we have 35 year-old Ravi Bopara, the seasoned and experienced campaigner alongside another 35 year-old, Captain Luke Wright. To remind supporters, Luke has played in more than 300 T20 games, including the 2010 World Cup final which England won. Wright told journalist Bruce Talbot in a published article on the Sussex CCC Website, “I think we’ve got a lot of bases covered in our squad. We knew a while back that we probably wouldn’t see much of Jofra for T20 but we’ve got Tymal Mills, who is capable of bowling at high pace, guys like [David] Wiese, Ollie Robinson and good spin options with Danny Briggs and Will Beer, who are both hugely experienced in T20.” While, Chris Jordan’s and Jofra Archer's participation in the tournament are likely to be severely limited because of England commitments, the BIG news is the return of David Wiese who has had a massive impact on the Club's white-ball cricket since joining. The all-rounder made 284 runs last season at a strike rate of 149.47 with only Laurie Evans (358) scoring more runs. While Evans announced last week that he's returning to Surrey for 2021, he'll be determined to leave a positive impression at Hove, where his consistent white-ball performances have led him to the fringes of England selection. Meanwhile, there are many other exciting things to look forward to including the opening partnership between Wright and Phil Salt. “A few people have said that Salty reminds them of me a few years ago. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not!” smiles Wright. “As long as one of us gets us off to a good start I don’t mind. He’ll make mistakes like I did but he’s fearless and his ball-striking is phenomenal at times.” Captain MarvelAnother excitement will be watching Ravi Bopara who joined the Club only a few weeks after guiding Essex to their unexpected triumph over Worcestershire in last year’s final. Closing in on his retirement, he wants to concentrate on white-ball cricket only for the remainder of his career and brings massive experience, having played 357 T20 games in tournaments around the world including 38 internationals for England. “I’ve played with Ravi and played against him for years and whenever we competed against Essex, he was always seen as the key man, so it’s great to have him on our side now,” continued Wright. “He’s still very focused and if you look at last season he averaged 48.5 which is outstanding. He’s won a lot of games for Essex over the years and hopefully he can do the same for us.” Given all the matches will be played behind closed doors, one hopes the Club media can further improve their live-streaming service. An excellent Phil Salt interview by Nick Howson at The Cricketer Magazine. Describing Salt as "one of the most exciting cricketers of his age on the circuit, a destructive opening batsman blessed with an old-school technique that is transferable across the formats..." Howsen continues to salivate throughout the article ending with the comment, "And as with everything about Salt's career, there is a feeling of destiny about it." Praise indeed. www.thecricketer.com/Topics/countycricket/england_beyond_phil_salt_sussex_world_domination_the_cricketer.html
