Don't care that Joyce is doing comm stuff if he's not in the squad. Depends if you think the role of club captain has duties and responsibilites off the field. If the answer is 'no, the role only applies on the field' , then fine. Or may be we don't even have a club captain any more - just an on-field red ball captain and an on-field white ball captain and Joyce and Wright enjoy equal status in the off-field hierarchy? I don't know. Perhaps somoene could tell us. Or possibly Wright doesn't want Joyce hanging around in the T20 dug out like Banquo's ghost and feels it cramps his own leadership style? Wright is certainly on fire. Among 'proper' batsmen I think only Gayle and McCullum have a higher scoring rate in this season's T20 (one or two lower-order sloggers who come to the wicket in the 17th or 18th over may also have higher rates, but I'm talking regular top six batters). England seriously need to reconsider Wright for the T20 world cup. on edit: the other question is who selects the CC side - is it Robinson or Joyce? If it's Joyce - or if it is captasin and coach together - then you would expect him to watch those competing for a place in his side, even if it's in a different format, rather than watching Kent v Somerset. I do not begrudge him supplementing his Sussex salarly with freelance earnings, but if he is club captain that role surely has to come first?

We were there! Right, I've had a go at uploading a photo my son took last night, he said 'I can see a bowled coming up here as Mills ran in to Wagg, and he was right! Very good pic, proud of my boy.
