... according to Dobell on cricinfo tonight.
Not always the most reliable or accurate of reporters. . But I believe he is correct about this and Tredwell may be top of the list.
Any other ideas for potential loans?

BBC Radio Sussex's Adrian Harms: Injuries to Michael Yardy, Luke Wells and Jon Lewis, as well as Test call-ups for Chris Jordan and Matt Prior, mean the squad is stretched to the limit, and coach Mark Davis said they are actively looking at a loan signing to bolster the batting options.www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/27773687Thank goodness we don't need to consider any bowling options then.......

First division clubs are reluctant to loan to each other because of the relegation rivalry.
So we want a batsman who can't get into a Div Two side but is good enough to step straight into Div One and smack Bresnan, Brooks, Sidebottom and company around at Arundel next week?
There is a young lad called Gatting, who is struggling to get into the Hampshire side. And Mickleburgh and Pettini were both left out of the Essex side I saw play on Sunday...
If we could persuade a div one county to co-operate, Mullaney of Notts might be useful. But given the animosity on display between Sussex and Notts personnel at Hove last week, that one might prove doubly difficult.

Signing a batsman on loan for two championship matches is absurd partucularly when Harry Finch has just scored 168* for Hastings.

One suggests, now Robbo has returned from the 'ECB Head Coaches Conference', he is meeting with the hierarchy today, presumably alongside Ed Joyce, to discuss the pros and cons of signing a loaned player. One would imagine it's about weighing up the opportunity to offer certain youngsters like Finch their big chance, against taking on loan an experienced cricketer. But then the Club finances come into play. Can they afford to do this? If Jordan had signed a central contract rather than an incremental one, there would no hesitation, perhaps. The problem being, Yardy is out for a further 6 weeks and requires surgery while Wells injury may take up to 3 weeks to heal. Lewis could return next week but being an ol' timer, he is vulnerable to further injuries, particularly if necessity makes him bowl more than good sense dictates. A very tricky one. There are important championship matches against Yorkshire and Durham ahead. Sussex could find themselves propping up the division with Northants come July. On the other hand, Finch may score a couple of 100s for the 1st XI and we remain mid-table. Stick or twist? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/27795251

I don't see a hundred for Hastings has an bearing whether Finch should play in the 1st team.
I'd rather see him getting hundreds for the 2nd team.
I see this as lack of planning in the winter. A batter or bowler younger than the 2 old stagers we signed, Zaidi & Lewis. Hindsight! Too many want to have a football like attitude to players, buy a batter, buy a bowler. The money doesn't exist. It isn't the way forward either. It's more about developing our own. It has not been done as well as it might. Opportunities in the past have not been given with an eye to the future. Good case of youth being given the chance, Yorks & Durham teams.
I'd have money on Sussex staying up. It'll be an interesting ride.

Jonboy, like BM says, and I said to someone else when they suggested we bring in a second division bowler who can't get a game with the firsts, what do you think you are gonna get mate? If he can't get in a second division side what's he gonna do for us? Although a comeback to my comment then was Meaker, which might be an onion in my ointment.
It's gotta be yoof first, then if that goes tits-up...

I'd be mad if I were Will Beer. I'd be searching for a new county too. This is a dispicable signing. I'll always support Sussex, admittedly from afar most of the time, but I'm getting really riled by a lot of things that have happened this season.
