Went to see him play today. Out for nought but kept tidily for a few overs at the end. Apparently he is going to be tipped out of the side and replaced by Sam Billings for days three and four when he returns from England duty. How on earth can that be right? Even the most rabid Kent supporters I spoke today admitted that it's all wrong...

BM was also at a sparsely populated Beckenham today. If I'd known you were there, I would have come to find you!
I also think it's crazy! I know Bilbo was named in the Eng T20 squad and probably won't play, but why are we changing the team after Kent have batted an innings? Soon we will be allowed to substitute players who made low scores in first innings with a player outside the team who is on form! Shades of Kent V Glos. a few years ago when we had 14 players playing for Glos. during the 4 days! Crazy! Probably going to Hove on Monday next week & also Preston nomads for Sussex 2's V Durham 2's on same day!

When I turn up at Headingley tomorrow I expect Durham to be strengthened by Stokes and Wood and Rashid/Willey and Plunkett playing for Yorkshire. If Billings is allowed to be parachuted into an important match why not others?

Earlier this season Woakes was replaced by Poysden during a match. Were this to be repeated today the whole ludicrous nature of this rule would be seen. With 2 wickets left Warwickshire need 50 odd to win so Woakes would walk out to bat at no 11 and potentially alter the result of a crucial match. This rule must be consigned to the dustbin to retain the integrity of Championship matches.
