We did have a Durham section on our website however the success was down to the mod as he was very active on social media promoting it, when real life got in the way he had to step down which meant the forum slowly went back to being inactive. Durham do have another however it's on a Sunderland message board www.readytogo.net/smb/forums/cricket.77/ A quick update as to where we're at with WAK, we've been speaking to judge9847 about hosting the read only version of WAK and then he'll help us grow the new Kent section by sending out an email to all the current members. So hopefully come the season Kent fans will have an active forum to talk about county cricket

Again?
We've already got quite a few old WAK members on VFTB, plus with judge9847 helping us out hopefully we'll be able to reach out to the entire old WAK member base.

Yes, sure - you have eighteen threads, one for every county. But half of them haven't been active since 2014 and only five of them have had a single post since the end of last season. I have no desire to belittle to your efforts. But wth all due respect, it isn't really working , is it?

Only the Glamorgan and Northants sections are active, never claimed to have a thriving forum. The other sections are just there for completeness sake as most other counties have other forums which are active and that's fine.
I'm not trying to entice Sussex members over at all, hence why I'm posting in the Kent section, both softandfluffy and hhsussex know this and have given me permission to tell the Kent fans about VFTB since it's probably better they have a permanent home rather than a sub forum on another counties message board. If that was the preferred option then that's ok I wouldn't be talking about VFTB on here but the two owners of WAK are on board with this so was just getting the word out.
With regards to the not working comment, we've got 17k posts compared to 22k here, not the worst in the world. We've had 1.2m page views over the past 2 years with a bounce rate of 12.5% again there's room from improvement but it's hardly a failure like you are seeming to suggest.

You know full well I was talking specifically about your dedicated county threads - of which you have admitted only two out of 18 can in any way be called 'active'. Rest of the forum runs fine. But the counties section isn't working. Even in this world of alternative facts that is surely indisputable.

As I said in the post above the rest of the other sections are there for completeness sake, there isnt going to be any posts in them due to other counties having forums elsewhere.

Why do we want to move again? i dont think a move at this stage is going to be too much of a burden to anybody - might as well do it sooner rather than later
thanks to this site also for their hospitality

I am pleased to see Kent supporters now have an up and running Forum on 'View From The Boundary'. Although, I hope some remain chatting on here too. Delighted this Forum was able to help out during their interim. forum.viewfromtheboundary.com/index.php?board=24.0
