He's got it - in 57 balls. Well played Luke! The T20 batting relies on Wright as heavily as the four day batting relies on Joyce...21 needed from 12 balls, but Mags on strike...

Absolutely brilliant penultimate over from my old mate Matt - four runs and a wkt. Gasme over. Why didn't we sign him when we could have done ?

A really disappointing defeat. Well batted Wright but quite honestly I am appalled that one of Cachopa, Zaidi, Machan, Brown, Beer or Piolet could not get 10/20 runs that would have got us over the line.

We're out and the fourth place is between Glamorgan and Somerset.
Sussex 14 from the last two overs, after Hants smacked 34.
How can someone score 116 not out and end on the losing side?
Answer: because after Nash was out, the rest of the Sussex batting managed 4, 1, 6, 0, 0, 0, 9 and 1.
Four day and one day cricket, we never bat as a unit. It's always down to one man, whether our Horatius is Joyce or Wright . Would like to hear from Robinson how he has tried to address this - and why it hasn't worked. And if only we had Matt Coles bowling at the death...

One man team. This year's T20 : Luke Wright 448 runs. Next best Nash with 209.

One short of the Sussex T20 record I think, must be a record score for anyone on a losing side I had some interesting discussions with some Hants work colleagues on a few balls in the last five or so overs where HCCC appeared to have six fielders on the boundary on a number of occasions. Perhaps I (and not the umpires) was missing something here, can someone just confirm it is max five outside circle in non power play overs. If that is so then my repeated counting to them means I can convince them their side "cheated" its way to a win when I am next back in the office (after a few days off at Horsham) or have I got it all wrong and going to look as big an idiot as I normally do.

Looks like you can hold your head up in the office (as long as your counting was right )
41.3 For the remaining overs of each innings no more than five fieldsmen are permitted to be outside the fielding circle at the instant of delivery. static.ecb.co.uk/files/natwest-t20-blast-12766.pdf

Well bowled Danny Briggs. He and Will Beer must be on the ECB radar now as England desperately seek a spinner. At 23 and 25 years respectively, given the present disarray, what is there to lose? That would be something. Beer being given a trial. I wonder what Robinson would have to say? "Mooresy, you're desperate but not that desperate!" Given Will's present form he should be playing at Horsham on Monday. We shall see.

BM, 2 man team, Beer for his bowling and batting. A few games Wright didn't turn up and a few he gave it away. Your being very selective with your views.
