Few shocks in the final RLODC table. The tables were split by Div 1/Div 2 County Championship standings with just two exceptions:
— in the Southern group, Kent did better than their Div 2 status — in the Northern group, Lancashire under-performed
Sussex continue to end below where one would hope, although if we had beaten Hampshire, not had a bad day against Glamorgan and won the two washed out games, we would have been top.

Van Zyl's injury has crippled the batting order. Wells is NOT a one day player, especially after his kamikaze run-out last night. Now we dream of the T20, which, if we are going to do much this season, is our best hope. Reality has struck and Gillespie must realise the hard work ahead to turn Sussex into a winning trophy side. Good luck mate, you are going to need it!
