The results from this series are quite remarkable really. We tend to moan as a nation when things go wrong but England's One Day side looks powerful. The Australians are not at the races and must be fearing a whitewash. I used to feel the gap in skills between T20 and other cricket was huge whereas the gap between 50-over cricket and 4/5 day cricket was not so big. I think that has changed over the last few years. I seem to recall someone in the England camp saying that 250 was a competitive score in 50 over cricket a few years back. That looks like a failure by current scoring standards. The gap between T20 and 50-over cricket is becoming smaller, I believe. You just need a bit more luck at T20 and, therefore, T20 results are more unpredictable.
