The Afghanistan T20 Premier League is under way and Sussex have five players appearing amongst the five competing teams. The competition is taking place in Sharjah.
In the first game, Laurie Evans led Kabul Zwanan to a 3-wicket victory with 79 not out as his side successfully chased down 219. Rashid Khan, who also plays for Kabul Zwanan, didn’t take any wickets, but was the most economical bowler. In their second game, Kabul Zwanan were beaten by Balkh Legends. Despite Laurie Evans being the top scorer again with 64, his side only reached 176 for 6. Bopara and ten Doeschate guided Balkh Legends home with 8 wickets to spare. Rashid Khan picked up one wicket at 6 per over, but it was not enough.
Tymal Mills, who is playing for Kandahar Knights has had less joy. In his first game he conceded 10 per over without taking a wicket as his side failed to defend a disappointing total of 139. In his second game, he had a similar return as his side fell short of Balkh Legends total of 165 for 5 by 13 runs.
Luke Wright and Chris Jordan are part of the Paktia Panthers squad but they did not appear in their first two games.

Apologies - 553 was Virgin Media and not Sky, as I stated.
