Couldn't agree more about Ben and with Callum Jackson available I would snap him up without any hesitation. Joe Billings has enormous potential but is still very young. Does/will Joe Billings keep for the 2nds? Yes subject to availability as I believe he has still got another year at Bedes. His career highlight performance to date is probably this: www.sussexcricket.co.uk/news-1/youth-joe-billings-hits-sussex-record-of-210

Doesn't appear to say what period the contract extension covers? BTW, I agree that Burgess could take some of the load off Ben.

I know the club like to put a positive spin on things but....
Is it just me or is Ben Brown trying to make easy catches look difficult here?

It is sad to see the Sussex Captain, Ben Brown, was half-way down page 2 on this thread. I am not sure what that says about him and his relationship with Club supporters, but, like Jofra, he's just extended his contract. The deal will see Ben through to his 16th year as a professional at the club he has called home since he was eleven years old.
No doubt then, Ben will be given a job at the club after retiring. (Click on tweet below for filmed interview)

BB comes from quite a long line of illustrious wicketkeepers who cut their teeth at Eastbourne CC following Bobby Parks, Peter Moores, Andy Flower and Tim Ambrose.
When I was following England in NZ in 2008 (at least the 3 Test matches were all in the North Island and Stuart Broad, Jimmy Anderson and Tim Southee are still representing their nations nigh on 13 years later) it was quite uncanny speaking to other fans that I came from the place and had played for the club (at the lowest level) where the Manager, Assistant Manager and WK had crafted their trade.
So Ambrose and Brown to follow in the Management steps of Moores, Flower and Parkes who coached the French side?

Well done the Sussex management!!!!
So that’s a temporary replacement for Head, second overseas batsman and now a replacement for Brown that we need.🙄

Bad news. From the club's point of view, this feels like a self-inflicted wound.
Does anyone have faith in the current management?
Are Matt Prior's comments justified?
Are we going to see a 1997 style revolution at the next AGM?
