Dear cricket fans of Sussex I am a local Sussex cricket enthusiast and in February I will be running the Brighton Half Marathon in full cricket whites and batting armour (box and helmet included). As you can imagine this will probably be a reasonably sore and painful experience! I am aiming to raise £5000 for Sussex's only children's hospice Chestnut Tree House. There is not a lot of sadder things in life than children with terminal illness - so I have set myself this fairly mad cricketing-themed challenge in order to help contribute to the hospice's cause of helping to transform lives. Should any of you amongst our wonderful game's Sussex community feel inclined to support my fundraising efforts by donating in the link below, I will be extremely grateful. Our intrepid cricketer "smashed it!" Smashed it! Despite the 50mph winds i managed to complete it in 2 hours 17 minutes. Bit knackered and sore now!
