26 wickets at Chelsmford in a day with Lancashire being reduced to 7-6 and 23 wickets at the Rose Bowl (stop them from Test match for the next decade)! Essex and Hampshire should be given an automatic 25 point deduction for producing such a rubbish pitch.

Astonishing. Wonder if that's a record, 26 after day one? Yep, I would dock the hell out of them. Or, ask them if we can have some of their track for our next home game.
