ftss,
Nomads has got to be up there cracking pitches and facilities. What about taking it to school for example Hurstpierpoint who have provided first class cricketers
Great idea although getting to Preston Nomads via that narrow country lane could be a problem with the hoped volume of traffic. Perhaps, that could be resolved?
Re: Schools, another excellent idea. Public ones like Hurstpierpoint, Christ's Hospital (a former pupil just played in the Rugby World Cup Final), Worth Abbey, Ardingly, Lancing College etc.. not forgetting the excellent secondary schools like St Philip Howard, Sir Robert Woodward Academy, Manor Green College etc..
It will be fascinating to see how left-field Rob Andrew takes this as the new-look RLC 50 over next season offers so many opportunities to take first-class cricket around the County.

WOW! What a T20 match that was for England against New Zealand. They just keep on breaking records and hitting new highs. A fantastic performance. Also, great to see Chris Jordan back to his pomp. He's having a stonking series. England batting highlightswww.youtube.com/watch?v=lOYZW1zHAJcNew Zealand batting highlightswww.youtube.com/watch?v=oKHQHxOCgbI

This confirms our fears of the impact that the ******* Hundred has had on the domestic cricket scene. Having blown a large hole in the cricket calendar with the hundred, Lord Graves then handed responsibility to the counties to construct the fixture schedule. So don't blame Colin if you don't like it! How are we supposed to prepare English cricketers for Test Matches and 50 over internationals? Every time I hear about the hundred, it reminds me of Brexit - and vice versa. Interesting to see to what extent county membership shrinks as a result of all this.

Fb,
The present county cricket Membership structure will not endure for much longer. A very different approach must be pursued and I would not be surprised if Rob Andrew/Sussex CCC will become one of the pioneers.

Umm, that's a toughie. I'll ring you back on that one. Although, the T20 'Blast Pass' model will remain the same. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Chris Jordan adds the cherry to his sumptuous cream cake of a T20 series against New Zealand. I am sure Sussex supporters are absolutely delighted for him, although with form like this, the Club must be concerned he may be sucked back to the England ranks for the 50 overs too. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/50363945(Click on tweet)

There's room for three comps and there's three formats. Having two T20 domestic tournaments is absurd. everyone knows it is.

BBL9 kicks off on Sunday December 17th when Brisbane Heat play Sydney Thunder. There are 8 different teams competing. All eyes are on the Adelaide Strikers, of course, coached by Jason Gillespie alongside Captain Travis Head. The incestuous nature between Sussex and the Strikers continues for apart from Travis Head, Rashid Khan and Alex Carey, Phil Salt has joined them for their latest campaign. Phil Salt Profile
www.adelaidestrikers.com.au/players/phil-saltIt is unclear whether Salty will open the batting for the Adelaide Strikers in their first game against Sydney Thunder on December 21st, where the side play away. After a poor BBL last season, all eyes are on Gillespie to see if he can recapture his T20 magic. The Strikers home ground is the Adelaide Oval with a capacity of 53,583. The tournament continues until February 8th, 2020. While the season's length has been shortened the number of matches have increased from 59 to 61 as the knock-outs have been revamped into a play-off system where the top two teams in the league will get a second chance to make it to the final even if they lose their first match in the play-offs. These play-off matches have all been given unique monikers, namely The Eliminator, The Qualifier, The Knock-Out and The Challenger followed by The Final. Meanwhile, the Melbourne Renegades are the defending champions. The Strikers last won the competition in 2017. Common sense at last. The changes would see the 14 matches per county played across 15 four-day blocks instead of the original 16, with the only stumbling block in the re-jigging understood to involve the identity of a team and venue for a tour match. If the provisional map for the season is altered, the new finish date for next summer would be September 24 - two days earlier than the date upon which Essex were confirmed as 2019 county champions.
One other significant change in the offing is to bring the start date of the competitive action forward 24 hours to Sunday, April 12, ensuring that each of the first 12 rounds of Championship cricket feature play at weekends.www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-7678951/County-Championship-calendar-altered-ECB-bid-prevent-latest-finish-history.html
