Ups and downs in both competitions, extremes of weather, newly relaid pitches, injuries disrupting the structure of the side, the vagaries of Test selection: all of these made Sussex performance in May far from predictable and and therefore even more pressure than usual on individual performances to turn or save a match.
For this month's coveted poll, closing Sunday night 31 May, choose from
Ollie Robinson - 15 first-class wickets in the month including a career-best 6-33 in only his third match at this level, against Warwickshire
Luke Wright - Impressive performances as batsman and captain in T20, including a storming 91 in 47 balls in a valiant effort against Middlesex
Chris Jordan - Unexpectedly available for Sussex and starring as batsman in 3 successive games, including 13 4s and 5 6s in both formats
Will Beer - Twice man of the match in T20

This is going to be the most one-sided poll since the Communist dicatator (Enver Hoxha?) whose henchmen rigged the vote so over-zealously that he was returned unanimously on a 118 per cent turnout!

Not a very complimentary poll for Ollie Robinson with only 6 votes for him, and 9 in all cast from our 80 or 90 regular posters and those who visit daily. Thanks to those who could be bothered to vote.
