Middlesex are sweating on Hants losing 6 wickets in the last session. If Middlesex had declared at 22 for 5 in their first innings, they would be safe regardless of the Hants game. But, would they break any rules by such a declaration?

But, would they break any rules by such a declaration? Yes. Or even at 95-5 as they would have allowed the follow on. |
