Whatever Nash did last winter, this year he needs a rethink

Got becalmed, unfortunately. Last 3 overs just 5 runs. Meaker bowling really well and Batty is no scamp. Seems to be 300 is a competitive score for Sussex when our seamers can leak so many runs.

Excellent 50 from Cachopa. Hail Mark Robinson for this signing. Makes up for the Zaidi gamble.
Cachopa must have been reading this thread. 23 off the last two overs!!

Typical, just when things were getting tasty. Great innings from Cachopa. Are we relying on Yasir and Will again to get us up to 280+? Commentators reckon 300 is par.

Great stuff by Beer at the end. Those two 6s could be the difference BUT is 289 still enough? The commentators continue to believe 300 is par. All down to how Liddle and Hatchett bowl as usual.
If the pair repeat yesterday's travails where they shared 19 overs, 2 wickets for 139 runs - compare this to Arafat's 10 overs, 47 runs and 3 wickets - then Sussex may well lose.

Need to be a bit more imaginative with the bowling changes, if Liddle or Hatchett are getting picked off by someone with their eye in, take them out of the firing line. This total should be defendable

A win by 36 runs. Huge accolades to Liddle and Hatchett. What a difference a day makes! They share 20 overs for 83 runs and 6 wickets - a massive positive improvement from last night. If these two bowlers can continue on this path, Sussex have a chance of reaching the QFs. Meanwhile, special praise goes to Piolet. He is transforming into RMJ by the month! Sussex appear to have turned their ‘Royal London Cup’ fortunes around. Onward to Friday. As for poor Nash, I’m sure he would like to enter a Tardis and start his season all over again. Well done Sussex today, an excellent team performance today. A big well done to Chris Liddle as well He's taken a lot of stick on here for his bowling this season, not least from me, but today he bowled more like his old self.
