Our final pre-season friendly is against Surrey in a two day game. How many overs are played before the stumps are bowled out of the ground on Tuesday is debatable as the weather forecast is not looking good.
It should be the first appearance for Ishant Sharma while Stiaan Van Zyl and David Wiese return to the team.
The Cointy Championship starts on Friday at Edgbaston for Sussex. It’s hard not to think that better weather would have aided preparations but most counties will be in the same boat (perhaps literally in Worcestershire’s case).
