Well done Luke Wells who completely dominated the Sussex second innings for his not out century. Perhaps, 2018 will be his all-round break through year and a chance for an England place? Meanwhile, only 2 points between Sussex's 7th place and 2nd, so all to play for against Gloucestershire at home. Our attack is poor right now, but we know this. Whittingham should have played, but in place of a batsman. We need to be braver. Beer bowled alright, on a lifeless pitch.
The sooner we get Garton, Archer and Jordan back the better - a totally different prospect. And there's no reason why you can't stick Whittingham and beer in that side too. That would be positive, and we would win more games than not.
Archer was phenomenal in his first IPL game. He could well be the best bowler in the world right now. Never mind young bowler.
