With 2 points in the bank after an impressive win at Chelmsford, Sussex travel to Wales to face Glamorgan in the second of three away games. It might look like a winnable game on paper, but a defeat to Glamorgan in the Royal London One Day Cup ended our hopes in that competition.
Glamorgan started their T20 Blast campaign with an impressive win over Hampshire who were bowled out for 105. David Lloyd was scorer for Glamorgan in a total of 168 with 38 not out from 26 balls before the bowlers reduced Hampshire to 32 for 7 before a slight but inadequate recovery.
Sussex will need to be on form as the last four results against Glamorgan have produced two defeats and two no results. At Arundel last year, we had Glamorgan at 7 for 2 after 3.4 overs before Ingram with 101 in 47 balls and Rudolph with 49 led a recovery that meant that Glamorgan finished with 198 for 3. Luke Wright kept us in the game until he holed out on 101 as we fell 18 short of the Glamorgan total. In the return fixture last year, we started well with 87 for 2 before the weather killed off the game.
Chris Jordan will still be on international duty, so it is unlikely that there will be too many changes to the squad, although Phil Beer only bowled one over against Essex and may lose his place. A second win would give us the start we need as we often seem to be playing catch up in these tournaments. A win for us in Wales? We will see.

lg, You must be talking about Beer's twin brother Philip? 2 points for spotting my deliberate error. It would have been 5 points if you had spotted it sooner.

A few expensive overs means that Glamorgan have set us a target of 174. Not easy but not impossible.

A pity about those final 3 loose overs. Robinson and Archer not at their best. It should have been 160, but as you say a possible score to get. We need Wright to come to the party today.

Getting better and better.
100 partnership between Wright and Evans amassed over 11 overs. 132 - 1 (15 overs)
Wright: 72 Evans: 46
42 required off 5 overs or just over 8 runs an over.
Quite do-able!
Will Luke get his century?
