277 for 9 as the new ball becomes available. I guess it depends on the wicket. Last year the scores at Cheltenham were Glamorgan 117 & 158, Gloucestershire 141 & 137 for 0.

A very disappointing morning for Sussex. Poor slapdash fielding, unassuming bowling, where Glos records have been broken including the highest first wicket partnership of their season. Sussex really need to pull their finger out in the afternoon and start taking some wickets.

Not just the highest first wicket partnership this season but also the highest ever for Gloucester at Cheltenham

Things go from bad to worse. Glos 275-3. Archer just can't get a wicket.

When I went out for an hour, I was feeling gloomy having followed the score all day. Then, Gloucestershire collapsed. I am sure my wife has noticed that I am happier this evening. We are back in this game.

I am delighted my Archer goatmouth worked a treat. 0WW0W0 The County Championship have a video on their Twitter of Archer's 3 wickets.

Where's Haines? Didn't he get a ton in the last game? Don't tell me he's dropped. Garton and Whittingham are nowhere near this team, criminally. They should leave if they wanna develop their careers cos it won't happen at Sussex. Garton's constant absence from all forms is particularly criminal. How are these players of such potential to develop? Haines is out injured after suffering a concussion at Arundel. I completely agree re Whittingham and Garton, if they are not going to play they need to go out on loan or go elsewhere. Im particularly surprised, with Mills injured, that Garton isn’t playing the T20’s as he would be the obvious replacement. Is Garton actually fit?

The Sussex bowlers must be hugely applauded for taking 6 wickets for 11 runs, but 37 extras seems rather high which includes 12 no-balls.

Yes, captained the 2nd XI last week and bowled 17 overs.
