According to cricinfo the target is now 252 off 37. Seems a very raw deal 48 runs less for the loss of 13 overs.
Perhaps i have come in late here, was there an earlier delay and that was already target before this delay? Whatever the Kent twitter page says they are ahead on D/L at this stage but not by how many.

Even worse now: 161 runs with 8 wickets and 21.1 overs remaining
We are paying for those big partnerships between Bell-Drummond and Harmison, then Cowdrey, when we failed to take wickets and their run-rate gradually increased.

We are none of us good enough, and yet we strive © Sententious observations More to the point, we don't have someone to do the very good job that Tredwell does.

Its about run pressure. I'm sure if the positions were reversed we would be in the same position as Kent are. Targets too much with both revised scores. hh you need to understand the situation rather than make statements like you have. Remember Tredwell is an England bowler. If Robinson gave the same support to our young players we could have similar? Sometimes about giving opportunity, showing faith, building for the future. Not short term. I also think the captain for all his batting ability is not the man to lead. Point fingers at more senior players. They should consider the game, the situation and pace themselves. The Kent youngsters showed how to build. Perhaps it's been because the Kent management have shown faith with them?

It's not just the youngsters, the seniors don't know how to build an innings. I wonder if the dye was cast when we were successful in spite of not being able to post big scores. When we had Mushy, Kirtley and Lewry, we really didn't need to score big, our bowlers would generally come up trumps. Now we have a whole generation of batsmen who are capable of exciting little cameos, before needlessly throwing away their wicket. It's all about staying in the top division now, and Robbo finding a way to clear out some of the dead wood. Actually, dead wood is a little unfair, but we have a few players who are no longer up to the job, or perhaps they just need a change of scenery, either way, they need replacing with players who have the correct mindset.
