My guess would be Bruce, Finch and Robinson carrying the drinks.
Will Mills make it through 8 overs in a day if we get to the final?

Come on the Sharks. If this man can take on hurricane winds then you can stare down a group of Wurzels at 2.30pm tomorrow.

It's time for this much vaunted bowling attack to stand up and be counted!

Not our best death bowling . . .

Very poor bowling at the end from the Archer and Jordan with 42 needed off 4 overs. This is a game we should have won. Unfortunately our two death bowlers failed to execute their skills properly.

I feel the better team won. Worcestershire were just a little bit better in all 3 departments. Under par with the bat, couple of misfields and Jofra probably affected by a little bit of nerves at the end there which he will learn from.
Overall though, we can be very proud of their performances this season and hopefully they will go one further in 2019.
I wonder what Colin Graves thought of the 25,000 strong crowd loving the T20 Blast. If It ain't broke...

Have to say after the semis I thought they’d done well enough to settle their nerves, but against a fairly ordinary team with one good bowler and a couple of useful batters, they seemed to bottle it in all three departments. The spinners excepted. Why? Who knows. It’s not as though the Internationals aren’t used to the big occasion. Not a bad loss, just a disappointing one.

After an exhilarating day at Edgbaston, I think we should all be proud of our team’s efforts. T20 games are won on fine margins. We played better than Worcestershire in the semis and they played better in the final. I thought Worcestershire bowled very well in the final and Moeen Ali was probably the difference between the sides. I don’t think things went our way in the final, but T20 games are so much skill and so much luck.
Considering Evans got a bad decision in the semi final and Salt got a silly run out in the final, we did really well. Luke Wright’s 92 was a treat to witness.
Great day and great effort. We are unlucky not to be winners although full credit to Worcestershire.

I largely agree with philh that T20 matches are three-way affairs: one third Team A, one third Team B, one third Team Luck. I posted somewhere above about Phil Salt (unlucky run out last night, despite schoolboy grounding error) and his ‘positive’ attitude to batting in all formats.
The difference between T20 and county cricket is in playing so as to reduce that Team Luck element from a third down to 5 - 10%. The likes of Chris Nash and Murray Goodwin knew this in their bones. Taking it down to Sir Geoffrey levels is going too far, but it needs explaining, if necessary, to others.

A nicely summed up piece on the Final from Ged Scott on the BBC Website. It is fair and well-balanced and certainly the better team won. Social Media has also been fair towards Sussex and while the unusual run-out of Phil Salt is emphasised, the feeling is our Club surpassed itself where the youngsters from the squad can only improve for future endeavours. Like others, I feel that student Pat Brown is the find of the tournament and wealthy and successful T20 Franchise tournaments beckon. He has taken T20 seamer bowling to another level in England, where speed is a hindrance and pace deception the key. Take Mills. His ability to bowl at 92mph to the top order is a handicap, whereas his disguise and guile with the slower ball is all. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/45534496

I was amused to receive a questionnaire this morning asking me about my experience at Edgbaston. Besides taking as long to answer as a T20 innings, the first question summed it all up for me. It asked how I came to hear about T20 finals day. There were about 12 answers which included social media, from an ECB mailshot, through TV, previous attendee etc etc. I felt compelled to tick ‘other’ and type in ‘because I support one of the finalists and made it my business to find out the date’. I wonder if that’s why only 500 tickets went to each competing team. Asking supporters of competing teams if they wanted to attend came under ‘other’ at the planning meeting.
