We’re mid October, and no news (unless I’ve missed it) on whether any of the academy graduates will get a Sussex contract Also, not heard about the new academy intake for 2019

There isn't an academy this year, just age groups up to U19 so it will be based on performance over the summer for the youngsters... Interesting times!!

Don't think so, aimed at keeping more boys in the system for longer rather than an elite few carrying on and the rest stopping being coached by Sussex at U16. Also trying to raise the standard of cricket in Sussex as a whole. Time will tell...

Yes despite making his debut in 2002 at 19, he didn’t actually join the staff till 2005.
