When are they out? I see it has been confirmed that Div 2 will have 3 promotion places, and fixtures will be 'seeded' for 2019 (whatever that means). Hopefully that means we avoid 2x matches against the stronger teams (Worcester; Lancy; Middlesex?).

In the last few years, they have been announced between 25 November and 2 December. I've not seen any dates offered for this year yet. I understand that the 50 over competition will take place in April/May this year.

Brown got a bit rattled over the recent criticism from Sussex supporters over the temperamental batting last season (primarily from Diane Brierley). It touched a nerve in him and he wrote a tweet attempting to prove the critics wrong. This may explain the "excuses". twitter.com/ben_brown26?lang=en

With three up next season there is absolutely no excuse for not getting promoted next season even if there are no signings. The players need to work seriously hard this winter to improve their game and turn averages of 30 into 40.

Only four days of weekend cricket at Hove is absolutely pathetic. Are the ECB determined to kill all interest in the game of cricket?

Just seen fixtures. Unbelievable starting 5th April. Club league cricket doesnt even start until May. I can tell you now 70% chance it will rain and 90% chance will be very cold. Because I am very likely to give this game a miss plus for same reasons the one at end of Sept. This will leave me 4 games to watch at Hove. Will once again refrain from taking out membership and will pay at gate depending on weather and state of game. Sorry but once again fixtures show that nobody from ECB is interested in County cricket and very great shame it will slowly disappear.
