Why are Sussex not following the lead of other counties by switching the start of the match from Monday to Sunday? The previous game ends on a Thursday. Is it any wonder membership numbers are dropping when there are only four days of weekend cricket? It surely makes no commercial sense whatsoever to start a championship game on a Monday?

So, Middlesex have now brought forward two Championship fixtures (including against Sussex), in order to achieve Sunday starts, following concerns expressed by their members regarding the lack of weekend cricket.
To date 5 counties have now brought forward fixtures (7 fixtures in total). Surely, Sussex can justifiably add to this momentum.
Overall, a terrible indictment of the ECB in respect of their seeming disregard for the County Championship. Additionally, when the original fixture draft was issued to counties, why didn't they fight our corner then? Either completely subservient to the ECB, or is it that the respective leadership of our counties are completely out of touch with their membership!!!
