Wow! That is an incredible signing. Hope he does end up playing lots of red ball cricket for us as well.

BTW - for those students of PR vocabulary - you will have noted that "Sussex Cricket is thrilled to announce . . .
I reckon this is one rung higher than "excited".

Good signing, still young enough to make an impact and great experience to have in the dressing room.
Well done Sussex and welcome Ravi.

Yes, a quality player, who adds to our batting, and our bowling In fact, there are enough credible change bowlers amongst our top order, with Head, Bopara, Rawlins and Wells, all useful, to enable us to play 6 batsmen, and a keeper. A line up with 4 front line bowlers, and that sort of back up should be more than enough. Still look a bit short at the very top of the order though

Great to see Ravi Bopara joining Sussex! We will probably see him mostly playing in the Blast and One Day cup, however he will come in handy during the Championship as well. After a successful season at Essex (Div 1 Champions and Blast Champions) what a signing for the Sharks!

As we have yet to hear of a contract extension for Delray, perhaps he’s swapped with Ravi and has gone to Essex?

With Bopara, Van Zyl, Rawlins, Evans, Finch, and even Wells, happier batting down the order, I’m actually surprised we didn’t go for an overseas opening bat.

We still desperately need an opening bat for red ball cricket.

Suggests we're losing Rawlins to me. If so, decent signing. If not, bit old but still decent, just can't really see the need if Rawlins signs. Except in the one day stuff where they can both fit in.
Anyway, strange but nice. Bit like Whacko.
Welcome Bo-Pop.
